World of Ana Ponta, 2020

Ana Ponta is a romanian doll maker whom with you immediately fall in love. She has been creating unique and handmade dolls for 40 years. Her background is impressive, her life story is like a fairy tale, her talent is infinite but the most striking thing about her is her warm heart.

Ana's studio, where she creates every doll, is a magical place filled with materials, textures and accessories. Every visit to her studio is a happy day and a certainity that something new will be learned or discovered.

From her infinite world of materials I chose felt to create colorful visuals and give life to felt waste. The repetitiveness of the materials, exact cuts and multiple colors were like a magnet.

This photography project is dedicated to Ana and to her wonderful soul. Thank you Ana.
